What you need
Leftover fingering weight yarn : 366 m / 400 yds to 400 m / 437 yds per 100 g skein, but you can throw in lace or sport weight yarn too ! Whatever makes you happy !
You will be holding your yarn double at all times, which is a great opportunity to marl, blend, fade, mix and create all kinds of fun colour effects!
Yarn quantity expressed for sizes XS (S, M, L, 1X, 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X)
To fit bust circumference size 71-76 (81-86, 91-96, 101-106, 111-117, 122-127, 132-137, 142-147, 152-158) cm / 28-30 (32-34, 36-38, 40-42, 44-46, 48-50, 52-54, 56-58, 60-62) in.
Yarn required: 620 g (690 g, 760 g, 820 g, 900 g, 990 g, 1090 g, 1200 g, 1320 g)
2 sizes of circular needles
I used 4 mm / US6 needles, but 3.75 mm / US5 or 4.5 mm / US7 will do, as long as you are happy with the fabric you create. These will be your larger = main needles.
You also need smaller needles for all the ribbing: I used 3.5 mm / US4 needles.
4 markers. Tapestry needle.
Gauge (lol)
Whatever! You’ll be ok. This sweater is not about precision, it’s about playing with yarn and feeling good.
If you find it reassuring to know, my gauge before blocking was 22 sts and 30 rnds for 10 cm over stocking stitch, but I didn’t swatch.
