Pasvik Wrap pattern PDF

This pattern can be found in issue 8 of Laine Magazine.

The Pasvik wrap gets its name from a village in Northern Norway and features conifers and borealis, drawn in purl stitches against a stockinette stitch background.
The rectangular body of Pasvik is worked flat in two halves which are then grafted together so the Gansey-style motifs are perfectly symmetrical. The added-on border in 1 x 1 twisted ribbing is worked in
the round. Buttonholes are created by forming gaps at regular intervals when picking up stitches around the main body of the wrap, so it can become a modular garment. Unbuttoned, it is a simple wrap or a couch blanket. Buttoned up, it becomes a shrug/overcoat or a stylish poncho.
More ways to wear it can be explored, more buttons can be sewn, for everyone to find their own style and feel comfortable.
