Vasarely Wrap pattern PDF
Vasarely is a tribute to Vasarely’s Op art. This graphic wrap features mirrored diagonal stripes that build wavelike optical illusions into the fabric.
It starts out like a top-down triangle shawl, then turns into a long rectangle and ends with triangle fillers on both sides.
The graphic motifs are created by straight lines of slipped stitches against a background of striped stocking stitch fabric.
Vasarely was first published in Pom Pom Quarterly Issue 25, Summer 2018.
This is a slightly revised version of the original pattern, as my favourite ways of knitting some of the elements featured in this wrap (such as the cast-on and the i-cord edging) have evolved since 2018.
