Cozy Up shawl pattern PDF.
Cozy Up is a small One-Colour Brioche triangle that is worked from the tip up with a delightful transition from cozy merino to cozier merino and mohair, to coziest fluffy fuzzy mohair-only fabric.
The feather-like motif repeats are easy to keep track of, and add interest to the project without overcomplicating it. They turn this simple triangle shawl into the protective wings of a bird of good omen.
YARN
MC is a fingering weight smooth merino yarn and CC is a lace weight fluffy mohair yarn.
MC: Dark Omen Yarn, Merino Plus, 100% merino, 400 m / 437 yds / 100 g. Col. Orange Pulp. 250 m / 273 yds
CC: Dark Omen Yarn, Silky Shadows, 75% mohair 25% silk, 420 m / 460 yds / 50 g. Col. Melody. 400 m / 437 yds
NEEDLES AND NOTIONS
4 mm / US 6 circular needles, or size required to obtain gauge
Note that this shawl project will use up almost one whole skein of CC yarn. If you are a loose knitter, I recommend using 3.75 mm / US 5 needles to avoid running out of yarn over the last few rows!
6 markers
tapestry needle
GAUGE
14 sts x 22 rows = 10 cm / 4’’ over plain brioche after blocking. Gauge is not crucial but checking it will spare you a game of yarn chicken!
